Screw it, i was debating on posting about this but i mean, why not... So yall might know i was in the NGGCC (Newgrounds Genre Cross Contest) and i was making songs for it, but turns out i got disqualified because my breakcore song wasnt breakcore but more jungle/dnb, so they kicked me out, i get that breakcore if you wanna be real picky is very complex rythm and chopped up drums, but my track had complex rythms and (somewhat) chopped drums.. what my friend told me migjt be real, genres don't exist, just make stuff that sounds good and don't try to fit in.. i dont wanna enter any genre contest, or contest again for now because i ended up putting myself under pressure

Another thing that happened is my ambient track, that actually had some buildup/structure/change whatever you wanna call it, you know it starts soft lonely but at the end features heavenly reverb and stuff.. apparently that was an annoying and repetitive listen and i dont know if thats partially the reason im out? I dont know.. i also dont know if this post is even a good idea to make but i gotta say, im a bit frustrated/speechless about being disqualified and also that my songs that i tried my hardest fitting into the criteria, ended up with me getting kicked out the contest, at the end of the day its the contests judges decision and if my stuff doesnt fit, so be it...

At the end of the day.. make stuff you like, genres arent real, and for now i am not planning on entering any contests because itll be too much pressure for lil old me :/

Thanks for reading and no bad feelings towards anyone, yall have your own reason for making certain decisions and i respect that..
